Mirrors Sample Problems

Find the image mathematically and using a ray diagram. Find the magnification ratio. Always use a one cm high object.

  1. An object is placed 30 cm in front of a concave mirror with a focal length of 10 cm.
  2. An object is placed 10 cm in front of a concave mirror with 12 cm radius of curvature.
  3. An object is placed 5 cm in front of a concave mirror with 10 cm focal lenght.
  4. An object is placed 5 cm in front of a convex mirror with 8 cm focal length.
  5. An object is placed 3 cm in front of a convex mirror with 5 cm focal length.
